If you would like to help and get involved with the work we do at BSA, there are many ways to do this.
We welcome anyone who lives in the London Borough of Barnet, It is free to become a supporter however a donation to support our work is always welcomed.

If you would like to become a supporter of BSA and receive news and notification when a new issue of our Insider Newsletter is published, please fill in our mailing list signup form at Mailchimp.

Get involved as a BSA Street Champion
Barnet Seniors Association needs help in delivering their FREE quarterley Insider Newsletter – would you like to get involved?
It aims to provide a wealth of useful information to older people within the London Borough of Barnet and we would love your help in spreading the word!
If you can deliver from 20 to 200 (or more!) of our Insider Newsletter to your neighbours, your local clubs, or any venue that would benefit from our Insider Newsletter then BSA would love to hear from you.
We can arrange for you to pick up your copies at a venue convenient to you, such as your local library or community place.
If you would like to get involved and deliver copies of our Insider Newsletter every few months, you can leave a message on 0203 778 0151 and we will call you back or email us on bsabarnet@outlook.com.

Get involved and post items on your local Nextdoor Website
The Nextdoor website has been very good at attracting new supporters for BSA, so we need greater coverage across the Borough of Barnet to help spread news about BSA.


Future Articles
At BSA we welcome ideas for future articles in our Insider Newsletter.
Articles should be relevant to the over 55’s and should be factual in their content.
As our Insider Newsletter is only 8 pages space is limited, but we will aim to feature your article (once approved by the editorial team) in a future issue of our Insider Newsletter or here on our website and Facebook page. Articles tend to be less than 300 words.

Volunteers Needed
The Barnet Seniors’ Association are looking to find 3 key people to join our small voluntary organisation,
Our aim is to improve the health and well-being of Barnet borough’s senior citizens.
The BSA is an independent voluntary organisation. It is non-political and has no religious affiliations.

Events Co-ordinator
BSA is looking for a voluntary Events Co-ordinator with suitable experience who would like to join. You will be a key member of this well established local group. The BSA works in liaison with the Council and local voluntary organisations.
The role involves:
Coordinating each of the two well-attended annual Assemblies.
The next one is at the end of May 2019.
Each Assembly has a theme, is free to the borough’s senior citizens, and includes refreshments, some entertainment and helpful information on health and well being.

Circulation Manager
BSA is looking for a new volunteer Circulation Manager with a car and some experience.
The role involves:
Maintaining and building the BSA Excel Database
Arranging and delivering the Insider to drop off points in the borough.
Communicating with BSA’s Street Champions who do door-to-door deliveries.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
