Farewell from Barnet Seniors Association

Dear All,

This year Barnet Council, who previously sponsored some BSA activities,  announced that it wishes to become an Age Friendly Borough.  This programme is designed to make our borough a place where older people can live full, active, valued and healthy lives.  It is a place that enables people to age well and lead a good later life, and where people can continue living in their own homes, take part in the activities they value and contribute to their community for as long as possible.

The Barnet Seniors Association, formerly the 55+ Forum and the Barnet Seniors Assembly, is ceasing its activities.  However, you will continue to have a voice through Age UK Barnet.  This organisation produces an excellent bi-monthly newsletter called Pigeon Post.  In order to receive  it and because your contact details cannot now be legally transferred, you should first contact Age UK Barnet (https://www.ageuk.org.uk/barnet/).

As your Chairman I am confident that Age UK Barnet will be able to take the needs and views of our community forward. I sincerely thank you all for the support you have given us over the years and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Nila Patel
Chairman
6th December 2023
